Tolterodine tartrate (Detrol LA) is a tartrate salt of tolterodine that is a competitive muscarinic receptor antagonist. High affinity muscarinic receptor antagonist (Ki = 3.3 nM). Tolterodine tartrate is active at all muscarinic receptor subtypes (M1 - M5); exhibits a greater effect on the bladder than salivary glands in vivo. [1][2]
