Cediranib (AZD2171) is a highly potent VEGFR2 inhibitor for VEGF-stimulated proliferation and KDR phosphorylation with IC50 of 0.4 nM and 0.5 nM, respectively. AZD-2171 may prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow and may kill cancer cells. AZD 2171 is a type of antiangiogenesis agent and a type of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Also called AZD2171 and Recentin. [1][2]
