CP-673451 is a potent inhibitor of platelet-derived growthfactor ß-receptor (PDGFR-ß) kinase- andPDGF-BB-stimulated autophosphorylation of PDGFR-ßin cells (IC50 = 1 nmol/L) being more than 450-fold selectivefor PDGFR-ß versus other angiogenic receptors (e.g.,vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2, TIE-2, and fibroblastgrowth factor receptor 2). CP 673451 did not inhibit vascular endothelial growth factor- or basic fibroblast growth factor-induced angiogenesis at concentrations which inhibited tumor growth. [1]
