Tasosartan, is a new, long-acting, nonpeptide angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Angiotensin II receptor antagonists are selective blockers of the renin-angiotensin system and represent an alternative to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors in the treatment of hypertension.   [1][2]
