Nebivolol has selective β1 receptor blocking activity with an IC50 value of 0.8 nM in a rabbit lung β1-adrenoceptor binding assay. Nebivolol is a β1 receptor blocker with nitric oxide-potentiating vasodilatory effect used in treatment of hypertension and, in Europe, also for left ventricular failure. It is highly cardioselective under certain circumstances. [1][2]
