MK-866 is an inhibitor of leukotriene biosynthesis (IC50 = 3 nM in human polymorphonuclear leukocytes). MK866 inhibits 5-lipoxygenase-activating protein (FLAP) and leukotriene biosynthesis. MK 866 induces apoptosis through the mitochondrial pathway. [1][2]
