Tozasertib(VX 680, MK 0457)is a synthetic, small-molecule Aurora kinase A,Aurora kinase B, and Aurora kinase C inhibitor with IC50 value of 0.6, 18,4.6 nM respectively. Tozasertib binds to and inhibits Aurora kinases (AKs), thereby inducing apoptosis in tumor cells in which AKs are overexpressed. AKs, a family of serine-threonine kinases, are essential for mitotic progression, spindle formation, centrosome maturation, chromosomal segregation, and cytokinesis. [1][2]
